Hike off the People Trail
Nearest City: Columbus, IN
This is a heavily wooded area with lots of trails running through it along the creek, very pretty. Good hike for children, about one hour, more or less, depending on weather.

August 2008

Summit Lake State Park Prairie Hike
Nearest City: New Castle
An easy 2 mile leisurely hike to enjoy prairie wildflowers and birdwatching.

Picnic at Dennis Tibbetts'
Nearest City: Columbus, IN
Swimming, botanizing, feeding the fish, and a pitch-in supper.

Knobstone Trail Hike
Nearest City: Salem, IN
The 58 mile Knobstone Trail is the longest continuous hiking trail in Indiana. We will hike a 7 mile loop beginning and ending at the Spurgeon Hollow Trailhead.
