Details:

The 58 mile Knobstone Trail is the longest continuous hiking trail in Indiana.  We will hike a 7 mile loop beginning and ending at the Spurgeon Hollow Trailhead, near Salem, Indiana  The first half of the hike will be easy walking through a moist valley.  The second half will be moderately rugged ridge top hiking.

Directions:

Spurgeon Hollow Trailhead: From Interstate I-65 take exit 29, Scottsburg, IN. Go west on Hwy 56 for aprox. 18 miles to first stoplight in Salem.  Turn right (North) onto Hwy 135 and go 3.5 miles and turn right on Delaney Park Road.  After 4.4 miles the road goes left after crossing an old iron bridge. At 5.6 miles from Hwy 135 is Spurgeon Hollow Trailhead on right down a gravel road.  Watch for the “KT” post.
